International Women's Day Corner

On March 8 we celebrate International Women's Day, which is a good opportunity to show respect, appreciation and love towards women as well as a good moment to feel happy for their economic, political and social achievements, which were difficult to get. Sadly enough, it can also be a good day to remember those women who lack the rights we enjoy nowadays.

In class we will learn about the important role women played during the American Civil War, which is directly related to The Red Badge of Courage, our reader this term.

In addition to that, this will be our online corner for you to post a comment related to this day and what it means to you. Bear in mind that anything will be welcome: a sentence, a poem, the name of an important woman and the reason why you mention her, a thought, a feeling . . .

Have a good day!

I am

I am friendly and sporty
I wonder how many people live in other countries
I heard the people mow
I see the peace in the world
Iwant hunger doesn't exist
I am friendly and sporty

I aim to make peace
I feel the cries for help
I touch the destruction of war
I worry the death
I cry for freedom
I am friendly and sporty

I understand that we aren`t all equal
I say that we can be
I dream to change something
I try for the people of the third world not to be thin
I hope for your support flatly
I am friendly and sporty

P.S: this is my poem, no lo encontraba =)
